The Milo family have been making Italian staples such as pasta in the town of Bintonto in Puglia, Southern Italy since 1800.
Two centuries later, Giuseppe Milo and his brothers continue the journey started by their great grandfather, Nicola Milo.
They are proud of the family tradition and remain and artisan manufacturer, commited to producing products of the highest quality.
The range includes pasta, pasta sauce, grissini, pesto, truffled honey, diced and shaved truffles and truffle oil.

The name of this Bronze die 100% Durum Wheat Strozzapreti means"priest choker" in Italian. There are several legends to explain the name "priest choker". As legend goes that wives would customarily make the pasta for churchmen as partial payment for land rents (the Catholic Church had extensive land properties rented to farmers), and their husbands would be angered by the priests eating their wives' food to wish the priests would choke as they stuffed their mouth with it. The name surely reflects the diffuse anticlericalism of the people of Itally.
Strozzapreti pairs nicely with chunky meat, chunky vegetable, cream, or oil based sauces. These shapes are also great for baking dishes.
Cooking time 12 minutes in boiling water.
